Advocacy is a planned action to influence positive change through the direct involvement of citizens in the decisions that affect their lives. In this program, participants will enhance their critical thinking and practice skills, especially their ability to deal with issues of power, exclusion and injustice in their communities and societies. They will gain insights into the underlying concepts and current trends in advocacy, as well as how to mobilize citizens for action. Using written and video case studies and exercises to apply strategic planning tools, participants will enhance their ability to create an enabling and just environment for development through their advocacy campaigns.
