How To

The step-by-step guide below will take you through the donation process on the CanadaHelps.org portal, but if you have any further questions, please contact Fund Development Manager at 902-867-5347, our toll free number 1-866-820-7835 or via email at lward@stfx.ca.

Step One

Navigate to the Saint Francis Xavier University profile on the CanadaHelps.org portal or click here to go there directly.

When you arrive at the Canada Helps site, In the centre-right of the page you'll find three red buttons designating the donation options 'Donate Now', 'Donate Monthly' and 'Spend Gift Card' (see image below). To proceed to the next step, you can click one of these options.

In this example, we'll click the 'Donate Now' option, and proceed to the next step.

Step 2 Donation Details

When you press the 'Donate Now' button (step 1), you'll arrive at the Donation Details page. In this page you can add the donation amount, frequency, attach a brief message or refine details regarding dedications and gift options. Important to note is the Fund/Designation field, which you must set to Coady International Institute using the dropdown menu (see image below) before you proceed.

Once you are satisfied with the details, and noting the 'Fund/Designation' field has been set, click the red 'continue' button at the botton of the page.

Step 3 - Giving Basket

You'll proceed to a review of your 'Giving Basket' and be able to review and edit donation amounts and details.

Once you are satisfied with the details of your Giving Basket, you can continue with the checkout by clicking the red button, 'Checkout' at the bottom of the page.

Step 4 - Checkout

To complete the donation, you'll be guided through a simple checkout process - you can choose to register with canadahelps.org but it is not necessary to complete the process.
