Youth in Partnership Program
How to Apply
We are not currently accepting applications for the Youth in Partnership (YIP) program. Please check back in early summer 2012 for details of any future opportunities with this program. Those interested in international youth internships are also encouraged to subscribe to RSS Feeds on the CIDA website (http://www.acdi-cida.gc.ca/rssfeeds).
Please note that the criteria below are from previous years and may or may not be revised for future program cycles.
To be eligible for the Youth in Partnership program, you must:
- be between 19 and 30 years of age;
- have graduated from a university or college program by the time the program begins;
- be unemployed or underemployed;
- be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- not have previously participated in another program funded by the Canadian Government’s Youth Employment Strategy (YES)
The Coady Institute is also looking for youth who have demonstrated volunteer and community involvement and a willingness to become active global citizens. Each year, a few placements require particular specializations while others could benefit from a second language such as French or Spanish.
The requirements for each placement change from one year to the next based on the needs of our partner organizations.
