Coady Institute is celebrating the International Day of Friendship (July 30) with the launch of an online art gallery. We are inviting Coady graduates from around the world to submit digitally up to 3 examples of their art (all mediums). Entries selected will be a featured in an online/virtual exhibition beginning July 30. Deadline for submissions: Sunday, July 12, 5 p.m.

Art Submission Guidelines

Guidelines

1. Open to submissions from any graduate of a Coady program – you do not need to be a professional artist
2. One entry of 3 original artworks per person (each piece can have up to 3 photos to illustrate)
3. The artworks can be different types, such as:

• • Painting
  • Drawing done in ink or pencil
  • Sculpture
  • Clay
  • Beadwork
  • Digital photographs
  • Written Word (i.e. Poetry),
  • Storytelling (via video)
  • Other (by permission)

4. The art can be any original pieces made in the last 12 months or new work you create for this show. The theme of the piece should reflect the nature of the exhibit One People One Heartbeat: Creating Connections through Art. Suggestions for inspiration:

• • Friendship
  • Collective Work
  • Community Development
  • Peacebuilding
  • Resilience (Environmental and Democratic)
  • What problems, or issues is the art addressing?
  • What do you want people/viewers to know about your experiences

6. The organizing committee will review and select the submissions to be shared. Depending on the number of submissions, the committee reserves the right to select which entries are shared, some entries may not appear dependent on the number of entries received.
