Transnational governmentality and resource extraction : indigenous peoples, multinational corporations, multilateral institutions and the state

A number of international financial institutions (IFIs) have expressed concern over the impact of resource extraction activities on the livelihood and culture of indigenous communities. This study argues that public-private partnerships studied in this report eventually led to the undermining of the state and its capacity to protect indigenous communities.
