We are pleased to welcome 104 community leaders from around the globe for the second group in a series of online certificate programs.

In October, 32 Canadian participants began the new Developmental Evaluation online program, which introduces an exciting new approach to evaluation that enables social innovators, policy and program managers, and community leaders to design, monitor, and adapt social change initiatives in complex and uncertain environments.

Twenty-six participants in 12 countries recently began their journey in the Citizen-Led Accountability: Strategies and Tools online program, which focuses on innovative practices designed to engage citizens, monitor government actions, seek accountability, prevent corruption, and improve essential public services. Participants from Cameroon, Canada, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Turkey, Myanmar, and Venezuela are taking part in this course.

Supported by the Circle of Abundance initiative, 46 Indigenous participants across Canada participated in the first in a series of workshops titled, Indigenous Approach to Asset-based, Community-driven Development (IABCD): Principles, Methods & Tools for Practice. Participants from communities in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Northwest Territories, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Saskatchewan, and Quebec were introduced to practical and straightforward community-building tools during the workshop

Coady’s 2020-21 online programs began in September, with the welcoming of 95 community leaders for Asset-Based and Citizen-Led Development (ABCD), Future of Work and Workers, and Women’s Leadership for Community Development.

In addition to the online program series, we are also pleased to welcome 24 community leaders from 12 Latin American and Caribbean countries for Curso Virtual para Mujeres Latinoamericanas: Liderazgo, Participación y Trabajo Comunitarioa virtual women’s community leadership program hosted in partnership with EPES Fundación in Chile.
