Katie Stewart Snyder

Marketing and Communications Officer, Centre for Employment Innovation

Katie Stewart Snyder joined the Extension Department as the marketing and communications officer for the Centre for Employment Innovation (CEI) in July 2017. She is a seasoned marketing and communications professional, having held various positions in this field throughout her career. Katie is also an entrepreneur, operating her own marketing business in her off-hours. She believes strongly in the power of storytelling and, through her work, aims to blend the classic art of storytelling with today’s modern media. In addition to marketing, Katie has a background in project management and process optimization.

In her position as marketing and communications officer, Katie’s role is to manage all communications initiatives for the CEI, as well as the social media presence of StFX Extension, and provide other departmental support as required.

Katie, her husband Kyle, and two children reside in the Pictou County area.
