Salome Nduta is a Kenyan human rights defender, community organizer, and environmental activist committed to social justice and the empowerment of marginalized communities. She is the founder of the Women Human Rights Defenders Hub which provides mentorship, protection, and advocacy support for women activists. Salome has played a key role in international efforts to advance the safety and well-being of African human rights defenders. Recognized for her impactful work, she continues to champion gender equality, community-driven change, and an African-led transition to renewable energy across Kenya and beyond.

Jaya Luintel is a prominent, nationally acclaimed journalist and women’s rights advocate. Throughout her 17-year broadcast career, she has designed and executed radio projects focusing on women’s empowerment, gender justice, health and nutrition, HIV /AIDS, and violence against women. She is board president of The Story Kitchen which is driven by the passionate belief that upholding the stories of women can unravel systems of gender oppression and patriarchy that continue to exist in Nepal. Jaya was chosen as one of BBC’s 100 Influential Women of 2014. She has been internationally recognized for her communications work in the areas of gender, women’s rights and the empowerment of marginalized people.
