“It is an amazing group of change leaders,” says Gord Cunningham (Assistant Director, Coady International Institute).
Cunningham is in Vietnam working in consultation on the transformation of long time Coady partner Center for Educational Exchange with Vietnam (CEEVN) into a non-governmental organization (NGO). Individuals with connections to the Ford Foundation International Fellowship program and Fulbright Fellowship, and Coady Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) alumni will lead the NGO.
“At one point, I was at a table with Vietnamese with PhDs from Cambridge, Stanford, MIT, Penn State, Birmingham and the University of Hawaii,” Cunningham says. “They come from senior levels of government, academia, and the private sector (including social entrepreneurs). What they all share is a goal of working together to support citizen led development in Vietnam.”
