Partnerships/Initiatives
The Coady Institute’s youth programs achieve outreach and impact, as well advancing our own learning, through a range of initiatives and partnerships.
We gratefully acknowledge the financial support of our private donors and partners as well as the Government of Canada through Global Affairs Canada which enables us to offer the Youth in Partnership program and the Skills for Social Change and Global Youth Leaders certificates.
Coady is thrilled to be partnering with the Pathy Family Foundation to design and deliver the Pathy Foundation Fellowship (www.pathyfellowship.com). The Pathy Family Foundation is a private family foundation based in Montreal, Canada. Founded in 2007, the Foundation works in partnership with dedicated organizations worldwide that empower individuals and communities to generate and sustain positive social change. PFF prioritizes projects and programs that support refugees and newcomers in Canada, people affected by natural and man-made disasters, youth and children at risk, women and girls facing gender-based violence, economically disadvantaged communities, human trafficking and slavery survivors, Canadian indigenous communities and emerging leaders. It supports initiatives that empower these individuals through education, social protection and community-based health. The Pathy Family Foundation does not respond to letters of inquiry or unsolicited requests for funding.
The Coady Institute’s Youth in Partnership (YIP) associates are placed with overseas partners of the Coady to complement our capacity-strengthening work and programming. Our overseas partners are specifically selected because of their community-based approaches to development and their track record of meaningful contributions to their communities. Most partners also have a long relationship with the Coady Institute and are committed to amplifying their impact through education, innovation and community participation.
Coady YIP associates support our partners’ long term goals/projects by providing complementary skills and assistance, while deepening associates’ understanding of global realities and gaining career-building experience.
