Twenty-five women graduated from the first cohort of the Centre Haitien du Leadership et de l’Excellence (CLE)‘s Fanm Angaje in 2022. After the success of the program’s initial offering, the centre is now preparing for a new cohort of Haitian women in social enterprise.

Pauline MacIntosh (Program Teaching Staff) received the St. Francis Xavier University (StFX) Community Outreach Award at the university’s December convocation ceremony.
The award recognizes university faculty and staff who have demonstrated a long and consistent commitment to serving the Nova Scotia community.
As we approach the National Day of Giving (November 28) now, more than ever, Coady Institute NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT in creating educational opportunities and supporting leaders from around the world. Leaders who are tackling pressing global issues such as climate change, human rights and equality, the changing nature of work, and rising conflict and ethnic tensions.
On November 14, we held a small online graduation ceremony for the 2023 Diploma in Development Leadership participants. The graduates join a network of more than 10,000 Coady graduates in more than 146 countries globally.
For close to 40 years, Coady Institute has partnered with the Self-Employed Women’s Association, founded by the late Ela Bhatt. On the first anniversary of her death, Coady Institute and friends of Elaben are honoured to create a bursary in her memory.
Coady Institute partner Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) of India is examining how climate shocks are affecting poor women who work in the informal sector and offering educational programming to prepare for and mitigate risks.
