Aubrey Rose Apps is a recent graduate of Queen’s University where she co-chaired a student-based advocacy group called Consensual Humans. Jeannine Deveau Education Equity Fund Commits $14.5M to StFX including Renewed Commitment to Coady’s Circle of Abundance

StFX University announced an outstanding $14.5 million contribution from the Jeannine Deveau Education Equity Fund. This funding will support the creation of two new centres on campus – the Deveau Centre for Indigenous Governance and Social Justice and the Black Student Success Centre.
It also includes a five-year commitment to Coady Institute’s Circle of Abundance – Amplifying Indigenous Women’s Leadership programs alongside many other programs and projects.

StFX is located in Mi’kma’ki, the unceded ancestral territory of the Mi’kmaw people. The Mi’kmaw name for Antigonish is Nalikitquniejk, meaning ‘place where branches are torn off.’
