Plenary: Addressing Cultural Norms

Cultural norms and practices can hinder and, at times, halt women’s peace and security work. In response, women incorporate local capacities and knowledge for peace to challenge cultural barriers and create new understandings and practices. This session highlights examples of women’s actions to shift cultural barriers and support peace.
