OceanPath Fellowship Graduate Receives Award
Coady graduate Ruth Nara (OceanPath Fellowship, 2018-2019) recently received University of Ottawa’s Joseph De Koninck Prize. The Joseph De Koninck Prize at the master’s level is awarded in recognition of a major contribution to knowledge in an interdisciplinary program.

Global Women Leaders Lay Out Action Plans
The 21 women leaders from 11 countries who recently attended Coady’s Women’s Leadership in Community Development certificate program presented their leadership action plans May 23. The presentations ranged in topic from women and girls’ education, to financial literacy, to gender-based violence (GBV) health centres, to agriculture and economic empowerment.
OceanPath Fellows Reflect on Community Learning
Participants, staff, partners, and community members gathered in Coady’s Marie Michael Library Thursday, May 23 as the OceanPath Fellowship 2018-2019 cohort presented community learnings from their yearlong fellowship, which included the design and implementation of a unique community initiative over a nine-month community phase.

Sister-to-Sister Mentorship Program Nominations Open
Participants will work closely with Nobel Women’s Initiative, Coady Institute, and outside facilitators to build advocacy and communications skills, as well as to meet with experts working in related areas. Deadline to apply is Monday, June 17, 2019.
