Social Entrepreneurship Fund

Have an idea that can make a difference? The Social Entrepreneurship Fund at StFX offers students seed funding, plus mentorship and guidance, to help launch projects that create positive social impact. Whether it’s tackling a community challenge, empowering others, or building a business that gives back, this fund is here to support your vision. Open to all StFX students — bring your idea, and let’s turn it into action!

Have a big idea? Want to share it with an audience and win support? StFX’s Pitch Events are your chance to showcase your entrepreneurial spirit, test your idea, and gain valuable feedback from judges, mentors, and peers. Students of all backgrounds and programs are welcome — whether you’re building a business, developing a social enterprise, or exploring a creative solution to a problem.

Xaverian Innovation and Entrepreneurs Micro-Grants

The DiscoverBox Xaverian Innovation and Entrepreneurs Micro-Grants at StFX provides students with small amounts of seed funding to kickstart their entrepreneurial ideas. Whether you’re testing a business concept, developing a prototype, or exploring a social innovation, these microgrants are designed to help you take the first step. Along with funding, you’ll have access to mentorship, resources, and a supportive community to guide you as you turn your idea into action.

Impact X

Impact X at StFX is a summit that brings together students, entrepreneurs, and changemakers to celebrate innovation and social impact. Hosted by the Coady Institute’s DiscoverBox and Gerald Schwartz School of Business, the event features inspiring speakers, interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and student pitch competitions. It’s your chance to learn from leaders, share your ideas, and be part of a community driving positive change in Nova Scotia and beyond.

StFX DiscoverBox Innovation Challenge

Ready to put your creativity to the test? The Innovation Challenge invites students to tackle real-world problems through teamwork, hands-on learning, and entrepreneurial thinking. These events encourage creative problem solving, collaboration, and critical thinking, while giving you the chance to network, build confidence, and develop skills that will prepare you for your future career.
