This history of co-op law, examines the discussions over what the applicable statutes should prescribe, and what concerns the provincial government had in considering amendments. Saskatchewan's laws were based on the English model which was predicated on consumer co-ops which had to be adapted to the needs of producer co-ops, and which influenced policies elsewhere in Canada.
