This film tells the story of Rohan Fernando, who immigrated to Canada from Sri Lanka when he was 5. Now 26, he returns to Sri Lanka on a nine-week trip to take photographs, the basis for future artistic work. Instead, he finds an intricate web of family relations binding him to caste, family and country, raising deep-seated questions about his own identity and self-image. National Film Board (NFB).
