Consequences of the forced mass repatriation of migrant communities: recent cases from West Africa and the Middle East

This paper focusses on the issue of mass expulsion of migrant labour including Ghana, Nigeria, Senegal, Mauritania, Turkey, Bulgaria, Iraq, Kuwait, Yemen and Saudi Arabia. The consequences of these moves is examined--employment implications, wage loss, other economic, social and ecological consequences like housing, services, water supply, etc.
