Description

Currently, one in four people on earth don't have access to clean drinking water. Many governments lack either the resources or the will to provide this commodity to their citizens. Recently, a number of companies have focussed on this issue as a business opportunity. Often with the involvement of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF), these companies have attempted to privatize what many consider a public trust. This video investigates the results of these efforts at privatization in several locations and outlines the consequences.
