Description

This documentary marks the tenth anniversary of the Rwandan genocide. This video presents firsthand accounts of the genocide from those who lived it: the diplomats who thought they were building peace; the Tutsi survivors; and the UN peacekeepers in Rwanda. The film features interviews with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, former Secretary of State Madeline Albright, former UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros-Ghali, Canadian General Romeo Dallaire, and former National Security Advisor Anthony Lake and well as interviews with the Hutu killers themselves. The aftermath of the genocide is also examined.
