This paper addresses union-employer relations in consumer and producer co-ops. It traces the historical development of co-operative ideology in relation to trade unionism in co-ops and the attempts the two democratically inspired movements have made to establish good bargaining and workplace relationships. It examines the rising strike activity in Saskatchewan co-ops.
