Micro-finance activities of Forest User Groups in Nepal: current status and future prospects
Description
The study has been commissioned by the National Savings and Credit Development (SA/CRED) Project established under the Canadian Center for International Studies and Cooperation (CECI) Kathmandu, Nepal. The objective of the study is to examine the micro credit activities related to Forest User Groups (FUGs). Six FUGs cases, representing both the hill and terai region of Nepal were visited for the study. The FUG is a legal entity of the forest user household to develop, use, conserve and manage community forest.
