Webinar series for Nova Scotian Workers to Launch on National Day of Mourning
This year the Nova Scotia Federation of Labour, StFX Extension, and Coady Institute are commemorating the National Day of Mourning by launching a new webinar series, Building Back Better for Nova Scotian Workers. The first webinar takes place online April 28 from 7 to 8 p.m. and focuses on Worker Health and Safety.

Join us as we explore Building Back Better for Nova Scotian Workers. The first topic of the series is Worker Health and Safety. On April 28, the National Day of Mourning, we will explore the Westray experience and legacy and what occupation, health, and safety measures mean for workers in the midst of Covid-19.
Sister to Sister Mentorship Program begins for 2021
The Nobel Women’s Initiative and Coady International Institute are excited to welcome 15 emerging women leaders to our nine-week advocacy and communications program for young women activists. Together, our sisters from Mexico, Iraq, Liberia, Palestine, Guatemala, Honduras, Nigeria, Sudan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt and Myanmar/Burma will build a community of care and support; strengthen their capacities and skills, and co-create a new vision for inclusive feminist peacebuilding and women’s rights advocacy.
