Patronage allocation, growth and member well-being in co-operatives

This paper shows how co-ops differ from investor-owned firms in using equity and returned earnings as sources of finance and their affect on a co-op's growth and the well being of its members. Included is discussion of the relationship between owners/members of the co-op and the co-op itself, based on the democratic and equitable voice of members, not on the level of capital owned.
