Political and social inequality: a review

This paper presents inequality as the condition, process and experience of unequal power relations that constrain individuals, communities and groups from the same freedoms that are enjoyed by those with whom they are in a position of subordinate relationship. This volume contains two sections. The first section is a review essay. The second section consists of abstracts of selected texts from development studies and social science literature.
