Beyond the green revolution: new approaches for Third World agriculture

This report considers the economic and human costs resulting from the failure in some areas of the new technologies of the green revolution. Key to improving farming efficiency is a reconsideration of the benefits of both plant genetics and traditional agricultural practices which focus on available labour energy rather than costly fuel-run machinery.
