The subterranean child labour force: subcontracted home based manufacturing in Asia

Child labour is widespread in home based manufacturing activities. This paper draws on surveys from India, Pakistan, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand to examine the incidence of subcontracted child labour and its impact on schooling, work conditions, health and gender issues.
