This paper reflects the author's impressions of worker co-ops in Europe to provide an appreciation for the work going on there. The account is integrated into scholarly work on the subject of worker co-ops. This Spanish movement is centralized while the French--having a long history--is decentralized. The English co-ops rely heavily on government.
