This panel will review some of the key implications, that the landmark UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women and peace and security had in Latin America and the Caribbean. A multi-cultural approach will be taken with “practitioners” from the ground who will speak on the diverse contexts in which they have supported women’s recognition, protection, leadership, and implication in the prevention and resolution of conflicts, violence, and insecurity across broad definitions.
