Religion, culture and the politicization of honour-related violence: A critical analysis of media and policy debates in Western Europe and North America

In recent years, the issue of honour-related violence (including honour killing and forced marriage) has become a topic of media and policy debates in immigrant-receiving countries. This paper analyzes how media, government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) define honour killing and honour-related violence in order to explore how such definitions affect policy responses.
