A Concept paper on federations of self help groups

This paper discusses the relationship between MYRADA and federations of self help groups. MYRADA's aims in encouraging federations are that: federations must provide services that can strengthen primary groups without becoming power centres, that channels of direct communication must be kept open between MYRADA and primary groups, and that federations must be promoted with a view to setting and achieving their own agenda, rather than taking over the functions of MYRADA when MYRADA withdraws.
