A woman's fate is a gourd's fate: labour and sexuality of Korean married women

This study shows that an important factor influencing women's access to paid work was the husbands' attitude. The control of women's sexuality seems to be the most important reason of such opposition. Women's working conditions were controlled by their husbands. However, women struggled against and resisted this control.
