Description

Multinational corporations involved in agribusiness now grow more food in Asia, Africa, and South America than ever before. Most of it is exported and more people are hungry than ever before, as a result. Single crops, such as peanuts, deplete the soil. Local farmers do not earn enough to purchase fertilizers, so the capacity of the land to sustain its people declines. The social and economic consequences are explored in this program.
