This film tells the story of COOTRAM, or the Manguinhos Free-lancers Cooperative, which grew out of an initiative between FIOCRUZ, a government institution in Brazil, and residents of a nearby slum area. The cooperative provides services to FIOCRUZ, and jobs and income to the residents. The initiative is supported by COEP.
