Credit unions in Latin America: recent performance and emerging challenges

This paper draws upon six case studies of credit unions in Colombia, Guatemala and Ecuador. These studies shed light on credit-union sustainability and outreach as providers of financial services, the nature of their financial products and procedures, and the apparent constraints they face in their operations.
