Expansion of rural financial services: the development of a community-based rural credit union network in the Dominican Republic (1984-93)

The report describes two projects to strengthen rural credit unions in the Dominican Republic between 1993 and 1992. The aim was to develop a system of self-sustaining, financially viable, integrated network of credit unions supplying the needs for financial services of the local populations in rural communities.
