Improving nutrition in Tanzania in the 1980s: the Iringa experience

This paper reviews and analyses the experience of Tanzania in its attempt to confront the nutrition problem during the 1980s. The examination is set within the context of the policy framework in Tanzania including an evaluation of the Iringa Nutrition Programme. Lessons from experiences in Tanzania for nutrition programming and resource mobilisation are outlined.
