Investing in women: It pays!: Respect for labour rights in low-income countries

Women's labour rights are not respected in many developing countries and emerging markets.  The work performed by women is barely noticed and the women are considered to be unskilled with little access to knowledge or education.  With its Women@Work campaign, Hivos is helping businesses and policy makers invest in women, starting with the flower, textile and coffee industries.
