Key factors for building an effective microfinance institution: responses to the questionnaire for the WWB Europe Workshop on Microfinance, September 1997, Hungary

This paper presents the responses to a questionnaire distributed by WWB to selected microfinance practitioners from Eastern and Central Europe, among other regions. The respondents were asked to indicate from a set of 21 potential factors, of high, medium and low importance for startup microfinance organizations, and for established microfinance institutions, respectively.
