Labour migration for development in the western Hindu Kush-Himalayas: Understanding a livelihood strategy in the context of socioeconomic and environmental change

This report summarizes the results of three case studies carried out in India, Nepal and Pakistan designed to study migration and the flow of remittances. The studies also identified reasons why labour migration has not yet been applied to poverty alleviation and development.
