Sita tells the story of a young Nepalese girl who is trafficked into sexual slavery. Adapted from Bichari Sita, a street drama conceived and performed by village girls in rural Nepal, the film incorporates footage of a performance of the play. The street play sets in motion a story that examines the mystery surrounding the sex trade pandemic.
