Thinking big, going global: The challenge of BRAC's global expansion

This paper explores challenges of the global expansion of BRAC, a Bangladeshi NGO.  It explores the challenges BRAC faces as it breaks new ground as the first international NGO of Southern origin.  It investigates the need to attract financing for service delivery programmes within new political spaces. The report discusses BRAC's global expansion despite current NGOs' disappointing performances and raises questions about the roles of NGOs in development
