After 12 years of exile in Mexican refugee camps, 2,000 Guatemalans returned to their homeland in the Ixcan region of Guatemala. Many still call the returnees "the enemy", and the base of the feared Guatemalan army is only a few miles away. This documentary interviews the people of Cuarto Pueblo where an army massacre in 1982 forced its survivors to flee to Mexico. They tell of that dramatic ordeal along with their fears & hppes in undertaking the journey back.
